The same volume also introduces the PIAC and has notes about the history of the very first meetings, notably the 04th Meeting in Cambridge (UK), 1961.

even though there is already a text by Denis Sinor about the PIAC available, there is now an Introduction to the PIAC dating back to 1963, also written by Denis Sinor. In this text, there is also a section on the 4th Meeting in Cambridge (UK) 1962 which I moved to a separate page.
