Dear Reader,

For more than thirty years, from 1966 to 1999, Denis Sinor published the Permanent International Altaistic Conference Newsletter. From the beginning, this newsletter was intended to appear two to three times a year, but very soon every year saw one new edition of the newsletter. The contents of the newsletter contained Denis Sinor’s remarks on the state of affairs of the PIAC, obituaries, announcements of conferences and new books, as well as working reports on research projects, books and university institutes, submitted by faithful PIAC members.

The PIAC Newsletters are made available here and can also be found under the main menu entry “Past Meetings, Proceedings and Newsletters”.

Today, the first eight newsletters are presented.
