In Altaism, charts, tables, figures, photos and as well as maps are of great importance. Since the 11th century, maps played an important role starting from Mahmud Kasgari. The maps of Genghis Khan and his inheritors had been taken or inherited from the Uighur culture. These maps of Genghis Khan are of great significance in scientific terms, published in Moscow at the “Great Encyclopedic History-Military Map” and also published in Kazakhstan, at “Encyclopedic Turan Map.” In our view, many historical maps were retained in archives and libraries of Moscow, Sanctpeterburg, Kazan, Tiflis and Baku. Publication and analysis of these maps will play an important role in contribution to the history and culture of the Altai people.
