36^th PIAC Meeting

The 36^th annual meeting of the PIAC was held June 1–6, 1993 in Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan), under the presidency of Dr. E. Z. Kazhibek, director of the Center for Oriental Studies of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences. The meeting was sponsored by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Indiana University Prize for Altaic Studies was not awarded for that year.
