Çağdaş Türk Edebiyati Macaristan^’da (Contemporary Turkish Literature in Hungary)

(45^th Meeting of the PIAC, Budapest 2002)

The lecture gives an overview of Turkish literature of the 20^th century (book, theatre and film) presented in Hungary. I speak about the travels of Turkish writers and poets in Hungary especially the visits of Nâzim Hikmet on the occasion of his 100^th birthday. This year was declared an international Nâzim Hikmet year by the UNESCO.
