A description of the myth of Siri Mama among Sibe people, as it is known through existing descriptions and through the words of some Sibes living in the Yining area (Xinjiang P. R. of China). The dissertation will be completed by showing some slights of the Siri Mama, as a result of a field work done in May and June 1991 in the Yining area.
