Investigation and Analysis on the Remaining of Shamanism in Daur of China, Also Talking About the Relationship Between the Daur Language and Shamanism

As one of ethnic minorities in northern China, Daur believed in the primitive religion Shamanism long ago, which was popular in northeast Asia. Daur took Shamanism as their spiritual prop and it deeply rooted in their traditional culture. Thus, Shamanism produced far-reaching effect on their ancestors spiritual world and the course of culture of Daur. This paper makes preliminary analysis on the materials of investigation of Shamanism remaining and probes into some words and expressions about Shamanism in Daur language. This paper concludes that: Daur is one of ethnic minorities who have made a good remaining of Shamanism in China; Daur has a solid foundation of culture identity and forms a deep core of mental culture; and the language of Daur faithfully, comprehensively, and deeply recorded the historical trade of Daur s believing in Shamanism.
