A Field Research on the Oral Culture of Tatars who live in Kocaeli-Turkey

It is a well-known fact that every society or nation reveals, shapes, develops and changes its own characteristics and the society is almost the architecture of its own culture. It is possible to see some extraordinary situations that are believed and accepted as socio-cultural by folks and nations, their ways of communication, their perception of these factors and how the dialect during this process takes a shape.
Faith means the acknowledgement of an idea, an event, an object or an entity by a person or by the society and faith is the most important material of the oral culture of a society.
Starting out with the aphorism “The real archieves of oral culture are not libraries but people’s memory itself we will compile the believes, traditions and customs which take place in the oral culture of “Tatars” who immigrated to Kocaeli-Turkey from many other countries by searching their cultural products by the method of field research in this study. In this way, there will be a possibility to compare, protect and transfer the cultural wealth of Tatars which they keep alive or strive to keep alive in their oral culture by determination.
While doing the compilation, the information will be gathered by observation and interview and the information gathered from the source people will be stored by using voice recording devices and digital cameras and will be interpreted and analyzed by the methods of folklore.
