63rd Annual Meeting of the Permanent International Altaistic Conference (PIAC)
The 63rd Annual Meeting will be hosted by the Institute of Language and Literature of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences in collaboration with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the International Association for Mongolian Studies and the National University of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It was originally scheduled for 17 (Monday) – 22 (Saturday), August 2020.
Yet, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, global travel restrictions and a near total disruption of everyday life, the organizers could not but cancel the upcoming meeting.
The 63rd Annual Meeting of the Permanent International Altaistic Conference (PIAC) was postponed to 2021 in Ulaanbaatar and is now scheduled August 26 to 28, 2021. Unlike regular meetings, this meeting will be held online. Hopefully, this is a singular exception to the long-standing tradition of Annual Meetings of the PIAC.
