Guan Xinqiu

On the Phonological System of Standard Manchu Language, from 18^th to 19^th Century

In this paper, by making use of the documents marked with phonetic notation to Manchu characters, written in Chinese, English, Korean and French in18^th and 19^th centuries, the author tries to infer the vowel and consonant phonemes, their allophonic variants of the standard Manchu language from 18^th to 19^th century.
